Lumigent Appoints Sales VP

ACTON, Mass. – October 18, 2004 – Lumigent Technologies, Inc., developer of award-winning data auditing solutions, today appointed Alan C. Facey as vice president, sales and services.

Facey is known for building high performance sales teams in both start-up and established software companies in North America and internationally. He has extensive international sales and operations management experience.

Facey will guide the company’s sales and support operations, where his expertise will aid Lumigent in continuing the rapid growth of the company.

Prior to joining Lumigent, Facey was senior vice president at INSCI Corp. (OTCBB:INCC). He served as vice president of North American Operations and vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations for Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ:PRGS). Facey was also general manager of Europe for Holistic Systems, Ltd., an analytics company, held various sales management and senior management positions in Europe and the US for Metier Management Systems, Inc., selling project management software and services to large enterprises, and was executive vice president of worldwide operations for Obian, Inc., an early-stage enterprise content management company.
